Take a walk down Front Street, the colorful and interesting stores are all a short walk away. No mall action around here, but quiet comfortable shops await you. Among the items available for purchase in San Pedro are art, jewelry, wines and liquors, photography, clothing, edibles, furniture and wood or bamboo products, beauty treatments, food of so many kinds, music, ceramics, paintings, travel guides, coins, Cuban cigars and other tobacco products, and oh so much more... On weekend evenings, the downtown is pedestrian only, making for a delightful evening stroll for shopping with no traffic whatsoever.
Several thousands of visitors flock to our little island every year for a nice getaway, and always, there’s the dreaded souvenir shopping day, a day reserved solely for buying little gift items for friends back home. To find fantastic wood carvings, visit the Little Old Craft Shop, located right on Barrier Reef Drive. Visit them as well for great black coral jewelry. Right at the beginning of Barrier Reef Drive you will come across the gift shop Blu. The store contains many knick knacks that would make great souvenirs, among them are great children books, cook books, books in very interesting Belizean folklore or something that will teach you a bit more about the flora and fauna found inside Mother Nature’s Best Kept Secret. there is no shortage of stores to choose
from. Once within the actual stores, choosing products from the wide array
available is perhaps the only hard
work you’ll have to do. Everyone’s
tastes are different, and for each discriminating
consumer, there is something
new.
Pinguino Belize - Selling Napa Valley wine which is shipped with their own private label and is available only in Belize. They also sell a variety of logo goods - all with the Pinguino logo. They sell have t-shirts, embroidered caps and polos, and a variety of wood products: cheese boards, wine balancers, keychains, magnets, and coasters - all Belizean hardwoods, Belizean made and with the Pinguino on them. They also carry olives (cured and some stuffed) and olive tapenades and spreads.
