The Cloisters is located immediately north of San Pedro approximately one mile north of the center of town. The new Boca del Rio Bridge accommodates golf carts, bicycles and pedestrians but large vehicles are not permitted and the area has retained the tranquility one would expect on a tropical island wile being within close proximity to the shops and restaurants in the village. Small cafes serving breakfast, lunch and dinner are in the immediate vicinity.
All air-conditioned one and two bedroom suites have beach front decks, spacious living areas and fully equipped kitchens. Cable television, wireless Internet connections and daily maid service are included.
A swimming pool and sandy beach are for the enjoyment of guests and a bar/grill will be open by the fall of 2008.
Diving, fishing and inland tours to the Mayan sites and jungle can be arranged.
